The Abbey Lodge Inn – Woodhall Spa

Had a good time just as you would expect at a pub, nice open fire, friendly staff food was good.

It has been an absolute age since we have been to this venue, it is a great traditional English pub, wonderful friendly staff, roaring double fire, and was very busy, we did a walk in and they accommodated us with no fuss. We had a Sunday roast beef meal each, a generous amount of beef and veggies, all was very tasty, as a bonus they also have Hawkstone beers on tap which is excellent. Service was swift and pleasant. We had no room for desert. To summarise a lovely place and great food and service.

A great local pub serving wholesome tasty home-cooked food My wife and I had the Sunday roast, one beef and the other roast turkey. The portions were very generous, with an amazing selection of vegetables. All beautifully cooked. . It was very busy. The staff were all excellent, friendly and professional. The pub had a really good atmosphere. There is plenty of parking. This place is a real find.

Fab gluten free menu, warm friendly efficient service and dog friendly Stumbled across this lovely Inn by chance, welcoming landlord who soon found us a spare table, we were soon served by a lovely polite, friendly and knowledgeable, hardworking lad. Very good gluten free separate menu, such a treat to be able to have GF battered chicken goujons which were absolutely delicious 😋 will be back for more of these for sure. Already booked to come back in a couple of weeks time to try the Sunday lunch as well!

Wedding reception We attended a wedding reception yesterday December 6 at The Abbey Lodge. We had a meal of roast beef with all the trimmings plus apple crumble. The whole meal was fantastic served to about 50 people. All the staff were great and overall a fabulous enjoyable occasion. Impeccable all round.

Lovely pub. Cosy and great atmosphere, staff are all lovely. We had the pie and cod loin meals. Absolutely wonderful food experience. We would love this pub as our local. Live 1hr 45mins away though.

Beautiful food and host's We have just returned from the Abbey Lodge, highly recommend 👌 food was beautiful home made, such a friendly warm welcome, lovely to go to a traditional family place, will definitely return when back in the area 🍷🥰

Friendly staff Great food

On holiday but would travel two hours for their sausage and onion toasted sandwich it was that good First time visit and was really happy. The two ladies working where so helpful and sorted us seating so we could take our two dogs inside. The food was amazing and great price. Would highly recommend

I was stuffed! Beef was absolutely excellent. One of our ‘go to’ places. Sunday lunch as it was wifey’s birthday. As such, I treated myself to extra beef on my roast. My wife’s roast came out and I realised that I had probably made a mistake. It was very generous! Mine came out and I prepared myself for the meal by secretly unbuttoning a few buttons around my middle! I prepared myself to fail big time as there was so much. Anyway, I ploughed on, grateful for the second boat of gravy that came very quickly. Anyway, stuffed doesn’t describe how I felt at the end. Actually, it does. The food was great as usual. Service was great. Staff were great. In fact, it was all…….. great! Have to say that the beef was to die for. Cooked overnight? We’ll be back of course. Probably next week. 🤣🤣 Thanks.

Beautiful hawkstone session

Excellent all round. An excellent meal combined with great staff - from the landlady to the chap who served us - all were great with lovely customer skills. Food was great and plentiful and attentive staff made our day. We'll certainly have a meal at the Abbey Lodge whenever we visit the area in future. Parking easy - plenty of room, despite building works. Don't miss it if you're anywhere nearby ! Great beer as well !

Went to friends surprise birthday lunch party. Food was excellent staff were great and service was first class.

Excellent food a friendly service Greeted by a very friendly chap who we later found out was the landlord, asked for our name and then replied oh yes your with a dog, gave us a choice of tables to sit at. Orders for drinks and food taken at the table by a young lad who was also very friendly and efficient, good Choice of food on the menu and also some specials, nice to see that everything on the menu was available, food arrived in a good time and was very delicious and served by a young lady who again was very friendly

Attended this venue today for a sunday dinner and also a birthday celebration. The team was very accommodating and professional. The food was very tasty full of favour and a very generous amount of meat. will definitely return to try something different. thank you 😊

We had a very nice meal here on 17th Sept 2025. At first, we thought the service was slow, but when the food arrived, we came to realise that it had just been cooked completely fresh. The food was excellent. Portions were large, too, which was a change from where we live. Prices were great, and the service from the staff was without fault. The building itself, like so many in Lincolnshire, has a history, giving it a very evocative atmosphere. Brilliant.

Excellent menu and choice, consistent standard of food. Friendly staff and plenty of parking. Well worth a visit.

Great good, great service We were a large family party of 11. We had our own little area just off the main bar, all ready for us on arrival. We had ordered quite a range of different dishes, after a short wait all arrived hot and within a minute or so all together. All the food was delicious, home cooked and nicely presented. The prices very reasonable too. Staff were amazing. Well done. Would definitely return if we are in the area!

Lovely pub 20 mins from tattershall lakes,food is soooo good n reasonably priced,staff are great.im 60 years old and was the youngest patron by far,very very busy,.good seating and nice cosy atmosphear.
