Excellent Lunch Time Visit Our first visit for a while and wow what a great return. Called in at Lunchtime to see a roaring fire, and a busy pub with friendly hosts. The homemade pie was delicious as was the pasta washed down with Timmy Taylor’s. Shall be returning soon.

Popped in on Valentines evening,lovely Food, lovely atmosphere and great food! Tried to book for Sunday Lunch as love their Roast Beef but they're fully booked!

Okay for Sunday lunch, although the beef was a little on the tough side. I would go again, but probably not have beef next time. Good portions.

Fantastic family meal at the Abbey Lodge last night to celebrate my parents Wedding Anniversary. The food was superb and service absolutely faultless. Thank you for making our party so welcome and allowing us to bring a cake too. We all had a fabulous time 🌟

Great pub, food is excellent, lots of choice. The poached cod in a cheese and prawn sauce and the cannelloni are my favourites. Meals are always really tasty and good value. Plus old school puds choices. They are dog friendly which is a must for us. Staff are always really welcoming. Top choice.

Went here for my birthday and have to say I can highly recommend Abbey Lodge to anyone. The pub is full of history and character, which is evident the minute you step in through the door. The food was delicious and certainly worth the value. The staff are very friendly and chatty and definitely add to the ambience of the pub. In short, Abbey Lodge is one of those cosy, comfy English pubs that once visited you'll be wanting to go back to. The blazing fire adds to the historic charm and atmosphere. If pubs could talk, imagine the tales this place could tell.

Homemade pies and a roaring fire Took my father and stepmother for lunch on the 23rd. Welcomed by friendly staff and sat next to a small but roaring fire. Not too close to burn, but enough to take the chill off. Small menu to choose from but with a variety of dishes. I had the pulled beef pie (so did my dad) with mash potatoes and peas, stepmum had a chicken korma. The pie was definitely homemade with a hot water crust pastry made by Max. It was packed full to the top with tender beef in a rich gravy. The mash was creamy and the gravy thick with a beefy flavour. The korma looked creamy and was accompanied with poppadoms and rice. We topped it off with a creamy creme brulee and coffee. Well worth the visit.

Good pub food Very nice pub atmosphere and the food was good quality, fresh and hot. It was a busy evening, as they had a Christmas Party in the banquet room, but they were attentive and made us feel welcome. Lovely open fire always helps the mood.

Today 36 ladies kick started their Christmas with a festive lunch. We had a lovely warm welcome. The room was cosy and festive. We were then served with a delicious lunch which was enjoyed by all. With thanks to emma, the chefs and kitchen staff as well as hard working waitresses. Merry Christmas and a Happy New year to you all. Barbara, leasingham ladies club x

A nice welcoming pub Always made to feel welcome, nice atmosphere, good food, just what you want from a good pub, well done. Met friends here today and had an enjoyable Sunday lunch and a few beers, staff couldn't be more helpful.

Had a meal for my Dads 80th. Food was lovely and we were made to feel very welcome.

We called in spur of the moment. Luckily, we were able to get a table. The service was decent, barman/landlord was particularly friendly and helpful. The food was spot on, nicely presented and just the right quantities. Very reasonable meal, 2 mains, s deserts and 2 drinks £42.10. Not at all bad in my opinion, definitely one to revisit.

Wonderful Wonderful food and great atmosphere. They expertly looked after me and all of my food allergies. The chilli is amazing.
