Amazing place with great food! We have just returned from an impromptu 1st night away with our puppy Cooper in our campervan.we called ahead to check if we could stay in the pub carpark overnight. This was a lovely dog friendly country pub with great homemade food. It was delicious 😋 portion sizes were plentiful and reasonably priced. The service was prompt and very friendly. We felt very welcome. Even brought Cooper a water bowl. We haven't given 5* purely for the road noise. This did die down around 11pm,and started again around 7am. I know it's not a reflection on the pub, but for other campers, this may be an issue. It didn't spoil our night away, and Cooper really enjoyed his 1st adventure.

Lovely country pub, very friendly. Food was incredible! We took our dog and very accommodating, would 100% recommend!

Came here after visit to local area- booked Sunday lunch last minute for 6 of us . We had the roast dinner and the home made pie- both were absolutely delicious! Plenty of veg and oodles of red hot gravy. Sadly no room for pudding but looked fab. Will definitely be back if in the area

Excellent Sunday lunch and lovely atmospheric old pub What a lovely pub. Proper traditional pub with open fires. Very clean and well kept. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Service was great. Went for Sunday lunch and it was very good. Had chicken liver pate and mushrooms on bread to start and then we both had the beef for main. The size of the dinner was large. Thick slices of beef, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and plenty of vegetable sides and cauliflower cheese. Then finished with Biscoff cheesecake and creme brûlée. Daughters had chicken nuggets from kids menu that were proper chicken chunks and an ice cream sundae. It was lovey and left feeling very full and satisfied! Would highly recommend. We were staying at a nearby holiday park and it was totally walkable from Woodhall spa. Great find.

Amazing food here we turned up without a booking and was squeeze despite it being very and the food was probably the best food we had eaten out for ages lovely proper old world pub we will be back

Abbey lodge The second time we’ve been to this restaurant and had a great meal the staff was very friendly and helpful the meals are always good and hot. And the dessert are good.

Certainly we will be back!! First visit! Well appointed bar/restaurant. Food served swiftly and piping hot! All 3 dishes sampled freshly cooked and each were delicious. Charming waiter, couldn’t ask for more. Great ale! Timothy Taylor 😋

Lovely place for a relaxing drink, family and friends lunch or evening meal. Hosts are wonderful and staff really friendly and professional whenever we’ve visited.

What can I say! Can’t fault this place. We have visited numerous times and always superb. Visited tonight and the food and service was amazing.We did reserve a table as I know it gets quite busy so don’t want to miss out!As a family we had a selection of different starters and main meals and not one crumb was left! Outstanding food, honestly can’t recommend enough.Oh and desserts if you can manage it! Not to be missed.Great food, great service, great value for money!Always our go to place.Staff are a credit to you 🌟

Great food, comfortable pub, superb service

Great lunch - highly recommend Wonderful Pub, wonderful lunch! Lovely friendly staff, good food, good choice of beer - this place can’t be faulted! We will definitely come again.

NICE LITTLE INN We visited on speck for an evening meal, the inn had a few customers mainly drinking so they had no problem accommodating us. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The menu is not extensive so we didn't have a lot of choice. The meals when they arrived were all hot and generally very tasty. A nice touch is the veg arriving separately. Our overall view was the inn is pleasant not a lot of choice on the menu and a little bit overpriced, but if in the area we would visit again.

Fantastic Sunday lunch the food was delicious washed down with an excellent pint if Tim Taylors The service was also top notch as we were a party of 16 .... all 3 of our courses were delivered rapidly with no mistakes and nobody kept waiting
