The Abbey Lodge Inn – Woodhall Spa

From the moment we walked in to a busy pub/restaurant, we had friendly welcome and the evening just got better. Drinks served and we were taken to a table along with menu and specials board. What we loved was the many meals that were homemade. I had slow roasted pork, served with homemade gravy, vegetables cooked to perfection and a delicious grainy mustard mash. Hubby had a homemade lamb lasagne. He said it was delicious. So both of us were very happy. We had two puds, both homemade, I had Bakewell tart with custard and hubby had sultanas and syrup roly poly with custard. Delicious. The ales were fresh and everything was reasonably priced and good.

Came across The Abbey Lodge on walking our dog, so decided to book for an evening meal for my birthday on Tuesday 22nd. Meal did not dissappoint us. Service excellent & food absolutely delicious & we loved the old style building. Thankyou. We will be back xx

Great for dogs, veggies and meat eaters alike Lovely attentive staff and great food. There is an excellent selection for vegetarians and each of our courses were delicious. The asparagus risotto and steak pie both went down a treat. We sat in the bar with our dog and there was a homely atmosphere. We even got an after dinner mint.

Food & service was fabulous! A friend recommended eating at Abbey Lodge whilst we’re over here on holiday. Just us two plus our two Labradors for evening meal. Very welcoming, amazing choice on the menu & specials. Loads of veggie options as well. Mushrooms in stilton, garlic & cream sauce was to die for. Poached salmon main for me & veggie curry for wife were both lovely. Service was excellent as well. We booked again before we left we liked it so much

We Sunday lunch today and it was lovely, my wife had pork and i had beef, both were very tasty and portions generous. Lovely veg and cauliflower cheese came separately with cooked as we like it. Gravy was in a jug and again plenty fir us both. Glad we popped in. Dogs allowed in bar, and we were lucky to get a table as very busy with people eating. Definitely recommend.

A wonderful old pub which serves great food. The battered garlic mushrooms are especially delicious.

Would definitely come back again. Came here on recommendation, was not disappointed. Friendly and helpful staff. Cosy atmosphere and the food was excellent, good portions.

The Haddock and chips was excellent, really crispy thin batter, best I have had in a while. Plus you can stop the night in a self contained camper so can enjoy a drink or two.

Great stopover for motorhomes, brilliant food and good service. Would certainly recommend.

Great food Great service Great evening celebrating my 60th Birthday with friends, with a party of 14, we were suprised that we didn't have to preorder which I thought we may have had to, we had the full choice of the meun which was amazing. The food was outstanding and the staff really friendly. Made my night extra special
